CARPENTRY 

& JOINERY

THE CARPENTRY AND JOINERY DEPARTMENT IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING MAIN PARTS: 
  • Theoretical lessons

  • Practical lessons

  • Supervised working on building sites

 

The aim of the study is a final certificate of the Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board (UBTEB). The duration of the course is two years.

By the end of the first vocational school year there is a governmental year's exam, which successful passing is required for the second year of studies. When passing the final examination the students get their "Craft – Part One" Certificates.

 

THERE ARE THE FOLLOWING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES​:
  • "Craft – Part One" certIficate after 2 years

    Higher „Craft – Part Two“ certificate

 
AFTER PASSING THOSE COURSES THEY HAVE FOLLOWING FURTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:
  • Building and Civil Engineering

  • Architectural and Draftsman

  • Technical subject teacher

  • Manufacture of stencils and templates

  • Surface treatment

  • Kitchen installations

  • Building of partition walls

  • Building of stairs

  • Scaffold building
